The Vision : What will it be?
The Heirisson Island Sculpture Park will be an island arts venue where installations from all over the world can be viewed for free in a unique setting; a public space where art and the landscape are integrated in a distinctly Western Australian environment on the doorstep of a major business district.
In just 25 hectares it is intended the Sculpture Park will include:
- a wide range of exhibit sites in a variety of natural settings, landforms and water locations
- a pedestrian footbridge spanning the northern channel of the Swan River
- an interpretive centre
- a viewing platform
- a 3000 seat amphitheatre
- recognition of Indigenous heritage
- picnic areas
- a network of paths
- plantings of Western Australian native species of plants
